A Slip-Resistant Finish with Built-In Texture
What Is Flake Epoxy Flooring?
Flake epoxy is a multi-layer floor coating that includes a blend of colored vinyl chips broadcast into a liquid epoxy base. Once the chips are in place, everything gets sealed with a clear topcoat. The result is a textured surface that holds up to foot traffic, parked vehicles, and cleaning. It also helps hide imperfections in the concrete and gives the floor some visual depth without looking flashy.

Barry Simon23 August 2026We had a wonderful experience with Gimondo Concrete. They completed a job with an epoxy overlay on our front steps and a stamped concrete sidewalk on the side of our house. We did have a problem (not their fault) which they repaired beautifully and we are very happy. Sarah in the office is always responsive and pleasant to interact with. Josh who came for our repair was wonderful and communicated his arrival time and plan perfectly. Highly recommend this company.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()

K Ko14 July 2026Ricardo and his team were hard working, clearly knowledgeable, polite and professional (demolition and rebuilding of concrete garage floor). The result looks great and the site was left clean. Attention to detail was outstanding. They dealt with our own home site issues without a problem. Overall would highly recommend Gimondo Epoxy and Concrete.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()

Kelly Hession15 September 2025We recently had the pleasure of working with Gimondo Epoxy & Concrete to redo our church floors at Saint Jude’s and our experience was great. Owner, Ricardo Gimondo and on site supervisor, Shawn were responsive and professional. They not only handled the flooring with great skill and professionalism but also went above and beyond in coordinating the many moving parts of our project. They arranged for a dumpster, storage containers and even took on the removal and reinstallation of our church pews and floor base. What stood out most was their sense of responsibility. Any issues or unexpected mishaps were handled directly and without hesitation—they took ownership and made sure everything was made right. The finished floor is absolutely beautiful, and the quality of their work speaks for itself. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and highly recommend Gimondo Epoxy & Concrete to anyone looking for professionalism and great quality epoxy or concrete work.+7Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
Joseph Richardson31 July 2025Great work. Great price. They did the epoxy on my garage floor and the concrete apron in front. Got several bids and they were the only company that did both jobs without subcontracting. Very attentive to the details. The only down side - when they were done I looked around and figured it was time to paint the garage.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
D L29 July 2025Gimondo Epoxy & Concrete recently repaired and resurfaced my patio. The quality of the work performed is exceptional, both the prep and finish crews were professional, courteous, and respectful of the property during all phases of the process. Several people have already commented and are impressed with the transformation of the patio. Kevin Mattice was great to deal with throughout the process and I appreciate all his efforts to complete the project to meet my deadline. I highly recommend their services, they are true artisansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
Kelley Dunnigan18 July 2025Gimondo and his team do excellent work. We had damage to our concrete slab caused by another contractor, and three other concrete companies didn’t want to even attempt to fix it. Ricardo took a look and said no problem. They were able to repair our slab like new. I wish we had called Gimondo Epoxy and Concrete in the first place.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()

JR Michael7 June 2025After getting quotes from a couple different contractors that quoted very unreasonably for what the job was, I came across Ricardo name and him and his crew got back to me fast, priced the job affordably and got me on the schedule within a weeks time for a rain day job. Couldn’t be happier with the job and crew! Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is flake epoxy slippery?
It’s textured for grip. Most clients find it has much better traction than bare concrete, especially when wet.
How do I clean epoxy floors?
A leaf blower or broom handles dust. For deeper cleaning, use a mop or low-pressure hose—no harsh chemicals needed.
Will hot tires lift the coating?
Not if the surface is prepped correctly and sealed with the right topcoat. We address that during install.
